WHAT IS A PERSONAL PROJECT?
It is one of the projects for the MYP (Middle Years Programme) and is part of the culminating experience for the program.
The Personal Project encourages students to put into practice and strengthen the skills of learning approaches, in order to consolidate prior knowledge and specific knowledge of subjects while developing an area of personal interest. It allows students to perform practical explorations through a cycle of inquiry, action and reflection; providing an excellent opportunity to develop a truly personal product or result. It also offers the students numerous opportunities to learn and express themselves according to their individual needs.
The 2018-2019 school year personal projects were very well done. Each student developed their personal project independently thus achieving a learning attitude that will last a lifetime. Some of the personal projects are: “A little of me, a little of you”; “Electronically possible”; “The strings of my life”; “To simmer”; “Business is not leisure”; “New musical world”; “The value of money”; “Brushstrokes of life”; “Direct and without layovers: A Traveler´s Manual”; “My future, my decision”; “My life under water”; “Ball control”; “Building my destiny”; and “Beauty through a lens”.
All the projects deal with a subject that poses a personal challenge, allowing the topic to endure and maintain the motivation and interest of the students.
