Amid applause, laughter, tears and mariachis, our Prekinder, Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle and High School students experienced the first online graduation ceremonies. Such an event was done as a sign of Greenville International School´s commitment to advancing education and using technololgy to reach our students’ homes with live transmissions.
The ceremony was attended by our school´s Principal and the Prekinder and Kindergarten, Elementary, and Middle and High School Coordinators who delivered an emotional speech where they emphasized that these generations are an example of effort and perserverance. Generations that, with their talent, dedication, support of their families and commitment to new ways of study, achieved another milestone in their lives.
The graduation speeches were very special and emotional and were given by José Emilio Rodríguez Calcáneo and Sophie Vittoria Touati-Padovan from the section of Prekinder and Ricardo Colchado Mata, Sofía Jiménez Mejía and Diego Álvarez Mohamed from the Kindergarten section. Manuel García Álvarez, Alejandra Vidauri Rosario, Antoine Cavazos Doyen and Joysa Pérez Serrano spoke on behalf of the Elementary generation. While Enrique Alejandro Amaya Villegas and Valeria de Alva Benítez represented the section of Middle School and Andrea Jiménez Bolio, Jorge Velázquez Gordillo and Cristian Mateo Zambrano Ruiz represented the generation graduating from High School.
Without a doubt we, as a community, did not want the great effort put forth by our graduating students to be overlooked. Therefore, the Greenville team set about making this special moment even more unforgettable by recognizing the efforts of each one of our students while at the same time following safety protocols by having an emotional graduation caravan. Students paraded from their cars to celebrate the end of another school year.
Congratulations to all our graduates of this long distance graduation!
