The second edition of the “Living Museum” is inspired by the performance that took place in Paris, France in 1761 with the first documented theatrical tableau vivante that occurred during the Comédie Italienne´s performance of Harlequin´s Wedding. In this performance the actors “froze” according to Greuze´s painting “L’accordée de village” (“The Village Bride”) that had been exhibited at that year´s the Salón s art exhibition. Tableau vivant is a French expression to define the representation made by a group of actors or models of a pre-existing or unpublished pictorial work.
