WHAT DO WE DO?

Greenville International School is part of a community of schools that teach the IB Diploma Programme.  We share a common philosophy:  a commitment to a rigorous and quality international education that we consider important for our students.

FORMATION

In High School we seek to provide our students with the tools that allow them to become involved in their own learning, developing their life skills as well as the development of critical thinking. 

ACADEMIC PROGRAM

It focuses on the student as the principal player of his/her learning, through skills development and interactions with the various elements of the teaching-learning process, thereby ensuring meaningful learning.

PROFILE

We promote a student’s integrated development through the acquisition of knowledge, the promotion of values and the development of attitudes and skills that allow the student to face different global contexts. 

COMPETENCIES IN THE STUDENT

To prepare students to channel their career concerns and aspirations towards the correct choice of a profession, thus enabling them to face the challenges of today’s world.

We develop in our students a social conscience that sensitizes them to the needs of the society surrounding them.

To instill a respect for diversity, so that our students value different cultures and that they may relate to them with respect in terms of equality. 

CLASSROOMS

Classrooms in High School are equipped with interactive projectors that, through educational platforms, support the construction of learning in an interactive way. 

Students have autonomy in the use of the internet administered throughout the school grounds so that they may go online at the request of any teacher at any moment.

Within our facilities we have highly equipped laboratories in the Science department.

IB PROFILE

We have been a member of the IB World Schools since May 2016.  The fundamental objective of the International Baccalaureate (IB) is to train internationally minded people who contribute to creating a better and more peaceful world.

In the sixth semester of High School, students prepare for:

The TOEFL ITP certification exam equivalent to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference.

The DELF A2 certification exam (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) corresponding to level A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference

We seek to create a social awareness among young people of the reality of their surroundings and illustrate how much they can do to influence it, to stop seeing themselves as spectators and become true protagonists in society.
