Greenville International School, through the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme subject Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS), with the participation of students and the valuable support of families from our school community, carried out over the course of three years the project “Rehabilitating Dreams… Education for a Better World” at Florentino Hernández Bautista Elementary School. This project achieved the rehabilitation of the special education classroom, the water system, the well, the restrooms, 70 meters of perimeter fencing, and the donation of air-conditioning units.
We would like to give special thanks to Grupo Financiero Banorte, which generously donated $100,000 pesos, allocated to the acquisition of 84 student desks for the benefit of the children. Likewise, we recognize the company SLB, which generously painted the school facilities and supported sixth-grade graduates with the donation of school supplies.
The unveiling of the plaques represents our gratitude to everyone who made the rehabilitation of this educational center possible, as well as the closing of a chapter in which we worked wholeheartedly to dignify educational spaces. Thanks to the collaboration of Greenville School students, parents, teachers, alumni, and companies committed to education, we succeeded in rehabilitating spaces that now offer a more suitable and functional environment for children.
Each plaque is a testament to unity, service, and hope. May this project continue to inspire more people to join in creating change at the local level, building together a future with greater empathy, respect, and social commitment.
